wasted years

The Wasted Years is a Chinese-Hong Kong film depicting events commencing prior to the Japanese occupation of Shanghai between 1934 and the end of the war in 1945. It gave me the idea of featuring Yi Yi as a Shanghai gangster moll, the long-suffering but loyal girlfriend of a ruthless triad boss, wasting her youth and beauty.
